Star-Studded Lineup of Performances to Grace the Third Annual Caribbean Music Awards at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on August 28

Beyond the awards ceremony—featuring over 200 nominees across 40+ categories—and special honors such as the Elite Icon Award for Busta Rhymes and the Lifetime Achievement Award for dancehall legend Bounty Killer, the third annual Caribbean Music Awards will also spotlight the vibrant range of Caribbean talent with a dynamic lineup of performances, showcasing the artists and innovators driving the genre forward on the global stage.
This event will be hosted again by the King of Caribbean Comedy, Majah Hype. The theme “Voice of the Caribbean” will feature several key performers, including the Jamaican reggae singingbird and two-time Caribbean Music Award winner, Lila Iké, who will have fans hyped up following the anticipated release of her debut album, Treasure Self Love, due out on August 22.
The announcement of her album includes her single “Romantic”, featuring Dancehall star, Masicka, and pays homage to the 1994 song “Romantic Call” by Patra, as well as successful singles including “Fry Plantain” ft. Joey Bada$$ and “Too Late to Lie”. Lila Iké is up for four nominations at the Caribbean Music Awards.
2023 Dancehall Impact Award winner, Chronic Law, is also set to perform at the this 2025 edition. armed with his undeniable bangers, introspective and insightful lyrics, telling a story with his music and inspiring fans to search for their truth. Chronic Law is also up for four nominations at the Caribbean Music Awards.
Other acts set to take the stage include Konshens, following the release of his latest album and the Billboard-highlighted single “Back Dat Azz Up,” along with his internationally recognized hits like “Gal A Bubble” and “Bruk Off Yuh Back.” The “Badman Forward” deejay, Ding Dong, nominated in three categories, is also slated to deliver a high-energy set. Kranium, who leads with five nominations, will perform as well, alongside 2024 Reggae Male Artist of the Year, Romain Virgo, who is up for four nominations this year.
Trinidadian soca powerhouse Lady Lava, whose fiery anthem “Ring Finger” has amassed millions of streams worldwide, will also grace the event. Joining her is the self-proclaimed “Bad Queen from Martinique,” Maureen, who is nominated in the French category. The show will also feature three-time Caribbean Music Award winner Skinny Fabulous, who is up for another nomination this year, along with the energetic Trinidadian collective, Full Blown.
The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, which is the third annual edition, will take place on Thursday, August 28, at the prestigious Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, uniting the finest in Caribbean music for a must-attend celebration of culture and talent.
