Lila Iké set to drop debut album ‘Treasure Self Love’

Jamaican reggae singer-songwriter Lila Iké has officially announced the release date for her long-awaited debut album, “Treasure Self Love”, which is set to drop on August 22.

The announcement comes just ahead of the release of another standout collaboration from the album, “Romantic” featuring dancehall superstar Masicka, about to drop on Wednesday, July 2. The track is a modern revamp of Patra’s 1994 classic, “Romantic Mood.”

“The word ‘release’ has a whole new meaning for me,” Lila shared on Instagram. “I’ve been living this album for the past four years, and it has taught me so much about patience, passion, and surrender.”

With her longtime mentor Protoje serving as executive producer, “Treasure Self Love” already includes impressive collaborations such as “Fry Plantain” with American rapper Joey Bada$$, “He Loves Us Both” featuring Grammy-winner H.E.R., and “Anything & Everything” with veteran deejay Agent Sasco. The album is being released via Ineffable Records, in conjunction with Protoje's In.Digg.Nation Collective and Lila Iké's own imprint, Wurl Iké Records.

Seven years after her breakthrough in 2018 and following the success of her 2020 EP The ExPerience, Lila Iké is finally ready to deliver her full-length debut—an album shaped by growth, healing, and self-discovery.
