Aidonia extends the strong chemistry with Di Genius

After dropping the hard-hitting, ladies-targeted track “Agony,” dancehall artist Aidonia continues his series of releases with Jamaican super-producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor on the single “Pit A Pat.” The release spotlights the undeniable chemistry between one of dancehall’s sharpest lyricists and one of its most consistent hitmakers.

Their connection goes back over a decade with tracks like “Bad People” and “Pon Di Cocky.” This year, as Aidonia marked his 20th anniversary in music in Kingston, Di Genius honored the milestone with a special set of his iconic productions. With “Pit A Pat,” he once again proves his ability to craft high-tempo bangers that perfectly amplify Aidonia’s rapid-fire delivery.

“Agony,” making waves since its release, was accompanied by a video shot in the UK, marking Aidonia’s long-awaited return to British stages after his visa was reinstated, a milestone moment that came 20 years since his last performance there.

With “Pit A Pat,” Di Genius once again proves why he is regarded as a super-producer, tailoring the riddim to highlight Aidonia’s lyrical firepower while delivering a direct treat for the ladies.
