Reggae on the River sets dates for 2027

Reggae on the River, one of California’s biggest Reggae festivals, has announced its return for its 38th edition from June 25–27, 2027, moving to a new location at County Line Ranch in Piercy, Humboldt County, while shifting to an earlier summer date.

Organized by the Mateel Community Center, the three-day festival will feature a lineup of Reggae and Dancehall stars, roots legends and dub artistes across three stages, including late-night performances powered by the Basscraft Sound System.

Over the years, the festival has hosted some of Reggae and Dancehall’s biggest names, including Protoje, Chronixx, Tarrus Riley, Bugle, Jesse Royal, Lila Iké, Busy Signal, Agent Sasco, I-Octane and Mr. Vegas. The 2026 edition was headlined by Reggae icon Burning Spear, with performances from Kabaka Pyramid, Jah9, Samory I, Cham and Ding Dong, among others.

The event will also offer riverside camping, swimming access to the Eel River, artisan markets, family activities and local food vendors, continuing its tradition of celebrating Reggae music and culture beneath the California redwoods.

Early-bird tickets, known as "Rude Boy" passes, will go on sale October 28, with discounted General Admission, VIP and camping packages available for a limited time. General Admission prices will increase after November 18.
