Dancehall king Vybz Kartel is set to make his highly anticipated return to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Friday, August 29, headlining the opening night of the Reggae Fest Massive Weekend during the height of Labor Day Weekend celebrations.
This marks Kartel’s third appearance at the iconic venue in 2025, following two historic sold-out shows in April that kicked off his Worl’ Boss Tour and reignited his presence across major U.S. stages.
The event is once again powered by CJ Milan, who continues to play a pivotal role in Kartel’s epic U.S. comeback, including a sixth consecutive sold-out show last weekend in Baltimore. With support from Live Nation, Milan has also unveiled a fresh flyer featuring an updated image of Kartel, signaling another milestone moment.
The two major nights on April 11–12 were completely sold out, making Vybz Kartel the first dancehall artist to sell out the iconic Barclays Center. The historic shows attracted major names from across the music industry, including Cardi B, who shared videos of herself dancing during the performance.
Kartel brought a star-studded lineup to the stage, featuring surprise appearances by American rapper Busta Rhymes, Shenseea, Spice, Stefflon Don, Moliy, Chronic Law, Dexta Daps, Elephant Man, among others. One of the night’s most memorable moments came when Kartel made a FaceTime call to Popcaan, joining him virtually to perform their global hit, “Clarks.”
During his historic run across the U.S., Kartel has sold out major venues including Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Amerant Bank Arena in Florida, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, and Broadway in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The August 29–30 doubleheader is set to be a marquee event in New York’s Caribbean calendar, with Saturday night boasting a star-studded lineup including Shenseea, Alkaline, Capleton, Mr. Vegas, and more, cementing Reggae Fest’s status as the ultimate destination for dancehall and reggae lovers this holiday weekend.
