Reigning Queen of Dancehall Spice is set to expand her presence in Africa this year, as she embarks on a tour with scheduled performances in Mauritius and Rwanda in early May.
The “Go Down Deh” singer will kick off the run in Mauritius, where she is slated to perform for Beats Events at Anjalay Stadium on May 2, marking her first appearance on the island. She will then head to Uganda, where she is set to take the stage at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala on May 9 in front of an expected crowd of 20,000 fans, with the event supported by the Uganda Tourism Board.
The Jamaican dancehall star was originally scheduled to perform in Uganda on December 6 last year as part of her Queen of Dancehall Tour. However, disagreements with the promoter led to the show’s cancellation, making this upcoming performance a highly anticipated return for fans in the country.
Spice previously made her first visit to Ghana in November 2024, where she collaborated with Ghanaian reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy on his Up and Running album. During the trip, she filmed the video for their collaboration “Jiggle & Whine” and also made an appearance at the Bhim Festival. With momentum building, more dates are expected to be announced as the tour expands across the continent.
Known for hits such as “Go Down Deh,” “So Mi Like It,” and “Ramping Shop” alongside Vybz Kartel, Spice continues to strengthen her global footprint with each move.
