Queen of dancehall Spice’s smash hit “Go Down Deh,” featuring dancehall superstars Shaggy and Sean Paul, has earned another Gold certification, this time in New Zealand.
The certification was announced on December 11 by Recorded Music NZ, and presented by Radio Scope after the track surpassed 15,000 units in combined sales and streams.
Produced by Romanian producer Costi, the global anthem previously earned its first Gold certification in France earlier this year, representing 15 million equivalent streams in the market.
“Go Down Deh” appears on Spice’s Grammy-nominated album 10, released in 2021, and remains one of the biggest dancehall songs of all time, amassing over 335 million views on YouTube.
This is not Spice’s first Gold plaque. Her 2014 breakout hit “So Mi Like It” was certified Gold in Canada last year, further cementing her global impact in dancehall.
