The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, a historic event broadcast on BET, showcased the unique and incredible “Voices of the Caribbean.” This prestigious ceremony, unlike any other, honored trailblazers in Caribbean music who not only enrich the region’s vibrant culture but also pave the way for future generations to thrive.

With the excitement still in the air, the full list of winners has been revealed. Jamaican superstar Shenseea led the night with five awards: Female Dancehall Artist of the Year, Dancehall Album of the Year for her Grammy-nominated sophomore project Never Gets Late Here, Dancehall Song of the Year for her hit “Hit & Run” featuring Masicka, which also earned Collaboration of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Video of the Year.

Masicka has four awards, three shared with Shenseea, plus Reggae Song of the Year for his feature on “Been There Before” alongside Romain Virgo.

Kartel claimed Male Dancehall Artist of the Year and the People’s Choice Award, which was accepted on his behalf by Downsound Entertainment CEO Joe Bogdanovich, who stated: “He has done something that shows there is hope, and that transformation can happen, to live a better life.”

Kartel’s and Downsound’s historic comeback event, Freedom Street, was also named Music Event of the Year.

Other winners included Spice as Dancehall Performer of the Year, Lila Iké with her third consecutive Female Reggae Artist of the Year title, and Dexta Daps, who took home Caribbean R&B Artist of the Year.
