Upcoming dancehall artiste Potent delivers an emotional new single, "Father Absence," produced by Chings Records.
On the track, Potent, known for his melodic style, opens up about the pain and struggles of growing up without a father, blending heartfelt storytelling with confident lyricism and a soulful delivery.
"This song comes from a real place. I know what it's like to grow up without a father, and I wanted to create something that people with similar experiences can connect with," Potent said.
The rising artiste has already begun turning heads with appearances, including a performance on TVJ's Smile Jamaica, where he showcased his raw talent. He has also earned support from established artistes such as Nesbeth and Gyptian.
Released through Chings Records, the label founded by dancehall artiste Chingboss, "Father Absence" highlights both Potent's potential and Chingboss's growing role as a producer as he continues to build his roster and expand the label's reach.
