Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz grabbed their first three points of the Concacaf Nations League campaign after defeating Guatemala 3-2 in a thrilling encounter at the National Stadium in Kingston on Friday night.

The Central Americans struck almost immediately, with Oscar Santis opening the scoring in the second minute after capitalizing on a counterattack and finishing with a right-footed shot inside the box.

Jamaica responded through Kasey Palmer, who found the equalizer in the 37th minute, before Rumarn Burrell put the Reggae Boyz ahead with a right-footed finish in the 53rd.

Santis struck again in the 67th minute to complete his brace and bring Guatemala level at 2-2. However, Jamaica continued to push for the winner, and Renaldo Cephas delivered deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 94th minute to seal a dramatic 3-2 victory.

The win gives Jamaica a strong start in League A, Group B, as the Reggae Boyz now turn their attention to Honduras, whom they are scheduled to face at the National Stadium on Monday, September 28.
