Dancehall producer and artiste Electrik Records is steadily carving out his own lane, balancing creativity and strategy as he continues to elevate his brand.
Introducing himself as both a creative and a visionary, he has been working closely with several upcoming names in the industry, all while maintaining strong belief in his craft and long-term goals.
For him, music comes naturally. “Music is like art and it’s a part of me, so honestly it comes easy,” he explained to Kaboom Magazine, noting that from writing lyrics to performing, the artistic side feels instinctive after studying music his entire life. However, he admits that production requires a more calculated approach. “The producing part is more technical because we have to be strategic with every move and the way we market - there’s so much to consider. I feel like no one talks about that much,” he shared.
This year, he is also working closely with rising artiste Sunny YRK. According to him, the artiste’s sound is rooted in authenticity and individuality. “Sunny YRK can’t be replicated. The uniqueness of his voice wins over a lot of females, and what he sings about is his reality,” he said, confidently predicting a year filled with hits and promising fans plenty to look forward to.
Currently, the focus remains on singles and riddim-driven releases, with plans to eventually expand into larger bodies of work as his understanding of the business continues to grow. At the same time, he is building anticipation around a standout upcoming project from fast-rising dancehall artiste Feloni19.
The project, titled “Time Again,” is already being described as something special. “The Feloni project, I feel like, will be special. The sound is different from what people are hearing now, and the topic is way different. For now, that’s all I can say, but you should definitely look out for it this year,” he noted.

“Elektrik Records - we can’t do without electricity, right? No WiFi, no light. That explains it all."
Looking ahead, he also has plans to collaborate with Eddy G Bomba, a move that feels personal as much as professional. “Honestly, we’re both from uptown, almost the same area. I’ve known Eddy from I was knee-high and I was able to watch him dominate his space and create a name for himself. We’ll be going in the studio sooner than people think,” he said.
As for the bigger vision, he believes the name speaks for itself. “Elektrik Records - we can’t do without electricity, right? No WiFi, no light. That explains it all. We’re here to stay because without Elektrik, you won’t be able to hear captivating sounds and styles,” he added with confidence.
