Popcaan to deliver an Intimate performance of Nothing Without God
Dancehall superstar Popcaan is set to host an intimate live experience next month with Nothing Without God, featuring the first-ever live performance in Jamaica of his latest album Nothing Without God on June 13 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
The event comes on the heels of Popcaan’s successful Nothing Without God intimate experiences in Canada, which drew massive support from fans across the diaspora and further amplified the project internationally. Adding to the momentum, Popcaan was also recently featured on Drake’s newly released album Maid Of Honour on the track “Amazing Shape,” one of three albums released by the global superstar last Friday.
The lineup will also feature Jamaican acts including Jah Vinci, artiste and producer Runkus, fresh off the release of his album SupaNova, alongside Grammy-winning vocalist Nordia Mothersille. Together, the performers promise a night filled with live instrumentation, high energy, and meaningful connection.
“This event is deeply personal for us because it represents faith, growth and gratitude,” said Unruly Squid, one of the event organizers and sister of Popcaan. “We wanted to create an experience where people can connect through music, feel inspired and leave with something special. It’s going to be a powerful night for Jamaica and for the culture.”
Nothing Without God marks Popcaan’s sixth studio album and his first major body of work since 2023’s Great Is He, which served as his final release under OVO Sound. Since parting ways with the label, the Unruly Boss has fully embraced the independent route.
The 14-track project, originally planned as a 12-song release before being expanded, was completed prior to the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, giving the album’s arrival even deeper meaning. The project includes collaborations such as “Kick It Wid Myself” featuring Chronic Law and “Family First” alongside younger brother Natebadz.
