Faith-based crime drama starring American actor Malik Yoba alongside Jacinth Headlam, Cornelius Grant, Julie Mango and more makes its red carpet premiere at Carib 5 Cinemas on August 3, showcasing Jamaica's growing film industry

Jamaica's growing film industry reaches another milestone on Monday, August 3, with the highly anticipated premiere of Redeemed: A Father's Love, a gripping faith-based crime drama that weaves together suspense, family, faith and redemption in a story with broad universal appeal.

Headlining the cast is acclaimed American actor Malik Yoba, whose powerful performance anchors an emotionally compelling narrative centered on betrayal, identity, forgiveness and the transformative power of a father's love. He is joined by a talented ensemble featuring co-producer Jacinth Headlam, veteran actor Cornelius Grant, social media personality Julie Mango, gospel dancehall singjay Prince Saj, Justin Awn, and entertainer Safaree Samuels, whose recent public declaration of faith has brought renewed attention to his role in the film.

Built around the idea that some secrets are never meant to stay buried, Redeemed: A Father's Love follows the aftermath of a childhood kidnapping, uncovering long-hidden family secrets that force its characters to confront truth, forgiveness and redemption.

While rooted in faith, the film reaches beyond Christian audiences, telling a universal story of broken families, identity, unconditional love and the hope of restoration.

Redeemed: A Father's Love, produced by Pure Heart Media Production, is a faith-based crime drama directed by Luc Stephen and executive produced by Dr. Otis Manning. Filmed entirely in Jamaica, the production showcases the island's growing filmmaking talent while delivering a compelling story with appeal across the Caribbean and international audiences.

More than a feature film, it highlights the continued growth of Jamaica's creative industry, providing opportunities for local actors, writers, directors and production professionals to bring authentic Caribbean stories to a global audience. Through its strong cast and cinematic storytelling, the film demonstrates the country's ability to produce internationally competitive productions.

The filmmakers also hope the project will inspire greater investment in faith-based filmmaking across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean, creating more opportunities for storytellers and further strengthening the region's film industry.

Film-industry growth can push more viewers toward streaming platforms where they expect quick access to movies, series, documentaries, and local productions. Paramount Plus fits the entertainment path by way of subscriptions, app login, billing, content availability, device activation, plan changes, refunds, parental controls, and playback questions. For a viewer handling a small access or billing item, paramount plus phone number appears in a contact search before the proper Paramount Plus support option is selected. The Jamaica film angle supplies the entertainment connection; the service detail stays with the platform account. Neutral wording keeps the comment calm and tied to account access rather than dramatic claims.
