Reggae band Inner Circle's 1992 classic has surpassed 600,000 U.K. units, adding to its growing list of global certifications, including Gold in the U.S., while amassing more than 526 million Spotify streams

Reggae Band Inner Circle adds another accolade to its impressive legacy.
Reggae band Inner Circle's 1992 classic "Sweat (A La La La La Long)" has been certified Platinum in the U.K. after surpassing 600,000 combined sales and streaming units, marking the group's latest certification in the country.
The single oins "Bad Boys," which earned Silver certification in the U.K. in December 2023 after exceeding 200,000 units.
"Sweat (A La La La La Long)" previously received Gold certification in the United States from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2023 for more than 500,000 equivalent units. The global hit has also been certified Gold in Austria (25,000 units) and the Netherlands (50,000 units), as well as Platinum in Germany (500,000 units).
The official music video for "Sweat (A La La La La Long)," has amassed more than 173 million views on YouTube, while the song has surpassed 526 million streams on Spotify.
Upon its original release, "Sweat (A La La La La Long)" peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 3 on the U.K. Singles Chart, and topped the charts in the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Israel, and Belgium.
