Jamaican-born gospel reggae artiste Sone G has released his debut EP, New Man, via VI Records and distributed by ONErpm.

Led by the uplifting single “Big Up,” the project delivers a powerful message of thanksgiving, faith, and the reminder that God is greater than every situation. Tracks such as “Rescue Me” continue that theme, while the EP blends traditional one-drop reggae with modern production and vibrant pop crossover influences to create a fresh yet authentic sound.

The project also pays tribute to his homeland with “Jamaica Is My Home,” celebrating his love for the island. Throughout New Man, Sone G showcases his versatility, effortlessly combining conscious lyricism, melodic vocals and deejaying skills across a collection that reflects both his musical range and unwavering faith.

For Sone G, creating New Man was a carefully crafted process built around a clear vision. “It was a very intentional process creating the New Man EP. I wanted every track to have its own uniqueness and further contribute to who this New Man is. The concept of New Man was in the lab for a while, studying and ensuring that it all aligned. The challenge was finding the balance between excellence and authenticity - not just in the music, but in the lyrics that were being penned. Those challenges allowed me to trust what God was doing with the project,” he reflected.

The singer also explained that his goal has never been to fit into a single musical lane, instead allowing the message to dictate the sound. “I've never wanted to be boxed into one sound. I see myself first as a messenger of the Gospel, and music is simply the vehicle God has given me to reach people. Gospel reggae is broad, and I believe it should reflect the diversity of the people it's trying to reach.”

He continued, “On New Man, you'll hear reggae, dancehall influences, uplifting anthems, and moments of reflection because life itself has different seasons and emotions. My deejaying style allows me to communicate God's Word with energy, authenticity, and a Caribbean flavor that's true to who I am.”
