Chronixx Announces New Album ‘Exile’ During Reggae Land Headline Set

The “Smile Jamaica” singer made his long-awaited return, thrilling over 30,000 fans with selections from his magnetic repertoire. During his 90-minute set, he revealed that a new album is set to arrive later this year

Reggae star Chronixx made his long-awaited return to the stage on Sunday with a headline performance at Reggae Land, one of Europe’s largest reggae festivals and the biggest in the UK. During his electrifying hour-and-a-half set, he captivated fans with a catalogue of beloved hits and officially announced that his upcoming album, Exile, is set for release later this year.
The setlist featured timeless tracks from his celebrated repertoire, including “Skankin’ Sweet,” “Spanish Town Rockin’,” “Warrior,” “They Don’t Know,” and “Who Knows,” his popular collaboration with Protoje. He closed the show with a stirring performance of “Smile Jamaica,” earning roaring applause from the massive crowd.
Adding a heartfelt touch to the night, the Spanish Town native brought out his life partner, singer Kelissa, for a surprise appearance. She performed a selection of her own tracks, marking a memorable moment in the set.
Chronixx is set to continue his UK run with a performance at Provenance, the opening show of the Summer Series at London’s Victoria Park, on Friday, August 15. The event will feature headlining sets by Cleo Sol and SAULT, with Chronixx joining the star-powered lineup.

Following a record-breaking 2024 edition, Reggae Land continues to cement its global influence, drawing tens of thousands of reggae lovers from around the world. According to reports, this year’s staging attracted over 70,000 attendees across both days. The stacked lineup included heavyweights such as Mavado, Dexta Daps, Protoje, Gyptian, Kabaka Pyramid, YG Marley, Capleton, Marcia Griffiths, and many more.
