Every child deserves joyful experiences that become lasting memories, and CB Chicken helped create just that for 40 children through its partnership with Funfest.

Children from the Food for Thought (FFT) Breakfast Programme and the Ministry of National Security and Peace’s Inter-Ministerial Case Management Programme were treated to a day of fun, food and adventure, with unlimited access to rides, meals and refreshments.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to explore, have fun with friends and enjoy new experiences in a space where they feel safe and celebrated,” said Nicole Hall, Senior Manager - Commercial Marketing at CB Foods. “We wanted to give these children the freedom to simply be children—to laugh, play and create happy memories.”

“Every child deserves the opportunity to explore, have fun with friends and enjoy new experiences in a space where they feel safe and celebrated.”

The Food for Thought Breakfast Programme launched in 2023 at Shortwood Practising Primary & Infant School after administrators identified students arriving without breakfast. It expanded to Tavares Gardens Primary School in 2025 and now provides nutritious breakfasts to approximately 110 students throughout the academic year.

Hall shared that CB Chicken plans to build on the initiative by partnering with Funfest and the Food for Thought programme to further support its school breakfast efforts.

Ella Ghartey, Project Lead for Funfest, welcomed the collaboration, saying, “Watching the children laugh, try new experiences and enjoy every moment of the day was exactly the kind of impact we hoped to create.”

Just smiles on their faces

Renee Steele McCarthy, Senior Policy Director at the Ministry of National Security and Peace, described the partnership as “far more than a day of entertainment,” adding that it represents an investment in positive childhood experiences.

The initiative forms part of CB Chicken’s broader commitment to supporting children and communities through nourishment, meaningful experiences and ongoing partnerships.
