Chelsea have taken the unusual step of removing the profiles of nine players, who are still under contract with the club, from their official website, including winger Raheem Sterling.
Sterling, 30, prefers to remain in London, especially after launching his football academy in June for children aged 6 to 11. He has reportedly attracted interest from nearly every London-based Premier League club.
His name has been linked with West Ham, where he previously worked under manager Graham Potter during their time together at Chelsea. Tottenham, Fulham, and Crystal Palace are also believed to be good options for the former England international, who grew up in London after being born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moving to the UK at the age of five.
Chelsea are keen to offload Sterling this summer. He spent part of last season on loan at London rivals Arsenal, where he made 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and having five assists. During Potter’s seven-month spell at Chelsea, Sterling scored four goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances.
The Blues have been very active in the transfer window, with several players leaving either permanently or on loan, and more departures are expected before the window closes.
