"Caribbean Music Awards" reveals first set of performers

Alison Hinds, Ding Dong, Jada Kingdom, and Skeng among others will grace the stage at the prestigious event scheduled for August 31 in NYC. here are the details

Bringing together the biggest names across a range of genres, including Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Kompa, and Zouk, the Caribbean Music Awards unveils its first set of performers for the staging event scheduled for August 31 at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.


Hosted by Haitian musician & rapper Wyclef Jean to some of the leading names across the various Caribbean music genres is set to hit the stage with the likes of Romain Virgo, Dexta Daps, Alison Hinds, Kranium, Lile Ike, Ding Dong, Skinny Fabulous, Nailah Blackman, Skeng, Jada Kingdom, and many others are scheduled to take the stage for the night of the celebration of Caribbean music in a confirmed appearances by Spice, Baby Cham, Toni-Ann Singh and more.


Reggae legend Beres Hammond is in attendance to be honored with the Elite Icon Award, while soca legend Machel Montano i in attendance to be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award and entertainer Majah Hype will be announced as Entertainer of the Year.



Other categories such as "Album of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Producer of the Year,” “Lifetime Achievement,” “Video of the Year,” “People’s Choice,” “Caribbean Music Event of the Year” and many more will be announced as well.


This is the first-ever Caribbean Music Awards by the Caribbean Elite Group (CEG), publishers of "Caribbean Elite Magazine".
