Dancehall icon King Yellowman teams up with New York-based production duo Something D’Lux for a powerful new single titled “BOM BOM,” dropping on Wednesday, June 18. The track is a dynamic blend of classic dancehall cadence and hard-hitting modern beats, an energetic celebration of legacy, rhythm, and sonic chemistry.

Recorded at Kingston’s iconic Harry J Studio, “BOM BOM” is raw, charismatic, and fully hands-on, built on an Akai MPC with Yellowman’s unmistakable voice leading the charge.

“This record is about paying respect to dancehall’s roots while having fun with its future,” shares Something D’Lux. “Recording with Yellowman in Jamaica, in a studio with so much history, was a surreal and grounding experience.”

The song will be accompanied by a music video, filmed on location across downtown Kingston. Featuring vivid colors, nostalgic styling, and a touch of downtown flair, the visuals serve as a confident tribute to dancehall culture.

Something D’Lux is the creative duo of New York natives Zach Staggers and Eitan Noyze. Staggers, drummer for punk band The So So Glos, brings raw energy, while Noyze adds rich sound design shaped by work with icons like Kid Capri, Salt-N-Pepa, and Styles P.
