Dancehall megastar Vybz Kartel, together with his manager Linton “TJ Records” White and his team, has launched the Adidjah Palmer Foundation, which is expected to assist with donations of relief aid and supplies to communities affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa.

The initiative is backed by his rum brand, Str8 Vybz Rum, and carries the motivating message, “Jamaica, I’m coming home.”

The entertainer is now taking steps to contribute directly to relief efforts as Jamaica grapples with widespread destruction, particularly along the island’s western coast.

On Friday, Kartel hinted at his return to the island in an Instagram Story, writing, “Jamaica, expect me — I’m coming home,” following his historic three peat run at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, which culminated on Thursday night.

He has since returned to his residence in Miami; however, in another post, he teased, “Next stop, Jamrock,” signaling his intention to head home and support ongoing recovery efforts.
