Dancehall giant Vybz Kartel finally touched down in Canada for the first time ever, a historic milestone in his illustrious career, as he kicked off three sold-out nights at Toronto’s flagship Scotiabank Arena.

Toronto has long been one of the most anticipated stops on Kartel’s extraordinary Worl’ Boss Tour, with the city’s Caribbean diaspora—estimated at over 300,000 people - snapping up tickets in record time. All three dates, announced by Live Nation, sold out instantly.

The event, promoted under Drake’s OVO imprint as part of the rapper’s birthday celebrations, transformed the arena into a sea of flags, lights, and pure Jamaican energy.

Kartel didn’t disappoint. Commanding the stage in a Toronto Blue Jays jersey emblazoned with “Worl’ Boss” across the back and holding a baseball bat, he delivered hit after hit, reaffirming why he remains one of the most influential voices in dancehall and global music.

Drake made a special appearance as the only guest for the opening night, joining Kartel on stage to celebrate the historic occasion. “We were just talking about how much time we've spent with this man’s music right here,” Drake told the roaring crowd, paying homage to the dancehall icon whose influence has long shaped global sounds.

Drake stayed on stage for a portion of the show, doing a DJ segment, performing several tracks, and later joining Kartel and selector Ricky Platinum for an emotional finale to Kartel’s traditional closing song, “God Is The Greatest.”

The Toronto takeover continues through Thursday with back-to-back sold-out performances before heading to Houston’s Toyota Center on Friday night for a special Halloween concert organized by Jay Upscale.

This Toronto three-peat marks another historic achievement in Kartel’s extraordinary run, making him the first dancehall artist to headline and sell out Scotiabank Arena for more than one night, joining his 3 peat at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and two sold out shows at London’s iconic O2 Arena earlier this year.
