With excitement building for the Treasure Beach Food, Rum & Reggae Festival, organizers unveiled the full weekend schedule during a vibrant launch event this week. The occasion brought the spirit of Jamaica’s South Coast to Kingston, offering guests an authentic preview of what’s to come.

Attendees explored artisan showcases from Snack Rite, Uncle Nehe’s Bush Alternatives, Krush, Puzzles by SG, and Free Up Clothing, while sampling premium local rums courtesy of Worthy Park and Castleblack Rums. Authentic Jamaican flavors were also on display from culinary partners such as Kamila’s Kitchen, Murray’s, and Jabba’s Peppa Shrimp. All food, drink, and artisan vendors featured at the launch are set to bring their offerings to the festival weekend.

The Festival kicks off on Friday, November 7th, as the Festival Village at Jack Sprat transforms into a vibrant hub of local cuisine, artisan crafts, and rum tastings. The night’s performances will feature reggae newcomer Mesh Marina, followed by Lovers Rock star and main headliner Christopher Martin, who will close the opening day with his soulful energy and hit-filled set.

On November 8th, the Festival keeps the vibe alive with a Reggae & EDM Breakfast Party at Jack Sprat, followed by the signature Treasure Beach Bar Crawl through the community’s favorite hotspots. Legendary reggae icon Capleton will blaze the stage with his fiery energy.

The final day will see Agent Sasco headlining the closing performance, while patrons can also enjoy curated add-ons — including tours to Lovers’ Leap or Pelican Bar, an exclusive dining experience with Chef Oji Jaja, and a Sunrise Wellness Session and Breakfast led by Kamila McDonald.

Festival Co-Director Gregory Wright shared, “I’m really excited about being back in my home parish and embracing this community. Treasure Beach’s natural beauty, authenticity, and warmth are one of a kind, and this Festival brings that to life. The schedule was carefully curated to take guests on a journey, from sunrise wellness to late-night reggae, with unforgettable food, rum, and culture in between. It will be a weekend full of vibes, community, and celebration.”

At the launch event, the Festival received strong backing from government leaders. Hon. Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport — who recently tabled the Green Paper on the National Policy for Culture, Entertainment and the Creative Economy — described the event as “a proud celebration of Jamaica’s culture, creativity, and people.” She commended the Festival team for showcasing local talent and inviting the world to experience what makes Jamaica truly unique.

Hon. Floyd Green, Minister of Agriculture and MP for South West St. Elizabeth, noted that the Festival supports local producers and aligns with Eat Jamaica Month, which promotes eating locally grown foods.. “This festival tells a bigger story; one of resilience, community, and teamwork,” he said. “After the challenges faced by St. Elizabeth and our agricultural sector during Hurricane Beryl, few would have imagined we’d be here today launching food festivals. I’m proud to say Jamaica’s agriculture sector is in a strong position, and St. Elizabeth looks forward to welcoming you to the Treasure Beach Food, Rum and Reggae Festival.”

Day passes and presold tickets will be available online and islandwide at Fontana Pharmacy and Yaadman Gas Stations.
