Jamaican recording artiste, Teejay has revealed more details about his upcoming project, which will be an 8-tracks EP entitled "I Am Chippy". in a recent Instagram live with the CEO of Island Caribbean Music Conference, co-founder of Burke-Bodley and journalist, Judith-Ann Bodley.
Bodley, a longtime partner of the Solid Agency owner, Sharon Burke, who manages the dancehall artiste, spoke with Teejay who has also revealed an intriguing collaboration with dancehall star, Skillibeng in the EP which will be led by his latest viral song, "Drift". "I have some combinations in the EP, one wicked song with Skillibeng, and also some nice solid songs. it has shown a lot of my growth as a multi-faceted artiste. I'm Chippy EP is going to be a great one. distributed by Ranch Ent. and VP Records. they are doing big things for me right now ", said the Deejay.
Both also talked about Drift's current success. "Honestly, Drift isn't a new style. it's there and trust me it's not easy to maintain 5 years in the business. the style is already there in dancehall for the young artistes, so mi a deal with wha gwaan. mi an artiste and mi dat versatile. mi haffi vibe up the thing, the summer is coming," he said and added that Drift already has 6 million streams worldwide.

The 28-Years-Old deejay also talked about his close relationship with Grammy-award-winning artiste, Shaggy, who also teamed up with him for the single "Gyal Dem Time". "being on the road with Shaggy taught me a lot honestly. The experience and knowledge from him, its something that I really want to hear", he expressed.
Teejay also gave a lot of credit to his manager, Sharon Burke. "I reached out to her in a dark time, really frustrated, even that I had big hit which is Rags To Riches. I'm an artiste, I don't manage, I don't do bookings nor marketing. She's like a mother. sometimes she just tell me do something, and me don't even question, just do it", the artiste explained.
The Montego-Bay native also clarified that despite the rumors around, he doesn't have any problem with any other artist and what is attributed to him is a situation with a New York Based producer who has the same name Skeng.
