Jamaican recording artiste Sekklez continues to strengthen her foothold in dancehall with the release of her recent single, “Hair & Nails,” which is further building her momentum in the competitive scene.

“The inspiration came from experiences around me and also social media,” she said. “I’ve always been an old-soul girl, so you know Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens, and Lady G have influenced me with their creativity as women in dancehall,” Sekklez elaborated.

Unafraid to tackle sensual and provocative themes, Sekklez is recognized for her bold delivery, confident lyricism, and unapologetic approach to storytelling. Her ability to blend edgy narratives with empowering energy has helped her steadily build momentum and carve out space among the new voices shaping today’s dancehall landscape.

Speaking about her aspirations for future collaborations, she said “Shaneil Muir is an artiste who speaks on taboo topics like myself without fear and she’s one artiste I would love to collaborate with. I’ve always been a fan of Busy Signal because I like his sound and creativity. And of course the lyricist Vybz Kartel.”

With “Hair & Nails” in her bag, and unafraid to tackle bold topics in her music, Sekklez appears ready to make a strong impact in 2026.
