Emerging recording artist Akina Eman continues to carve out her place in the Jamaican music scene with her second single, “Gravity,” set for release on all platforms on April 2, 2026.

Marking a major step in her growing career, Akina has also secured a deal with UK-based label Outdeh Records, signaling her expanding international reach.

Building on this momentum, “Gravity,” co-produced by Romario “Runkus” Bennett and Island.wav, offers a contrasting yet equally compelling experience. While “Long Way” leans into joy and connection, “Gravity” dives into the emotional pull and complexities of relationships, further highlighting Akina’s versatility as an artist. Like its predecessor, the track was also recorded at the iconic Harry J Studio.

“I’m thrilled to share my music with the world. ‘Long Way’ is about embracing the journey of love and commitment, while ‘Gravity’ explores the deeper emotions we all feel in relationships.”

Her previous release, “Long Way,” produced by Island.wav, the duo of Keron “KaleX” Alexander and Aundre “Riddim Boss” Edwards , delivers an upbeat, feel-good sound centered on love, commitment, and shared journeys. Recorded at the same iconic studio, the track highlights her warm vocals and magnetic presence, wrapped in a sound that feels both contemporary and rooted in tradition.

“I’m thrilled to share my music with the world. ‘Long Way’ is about embracing the journey of love and commitment, while ‘Gravity’ explores the deeper emotions we all feel in relationships. Each song is a piece of my story, and I can’t wait for people to experience it and connect with it on their own level,” she expressed.

Akina’s musical journey is already marked by notable collaborations. She previously worked with Island.wav on the “Scared Riddim” project, released on May 9, 2025, where her track “For You” was featured alongside emerging talents such as Royal Blu, Chris Malachi, Ras-I, Imeru Tafari, and Haile Celestial, further positioning her within a new wave of dynamic Jamaican artists.
