Silk Boss Teams Up With Brooklyn Producers on New Single “90Z”
Brooklyn-based production teams Gad Level Records and Meech Millz Records join forces with the Dancehall artiste for a culturally inspired release, opening the door to future collaborations

Dancehall artiste Silk Boss has teamed up with Brooklyn-based producers Gad Level Records and Meech Millz Records for his new single, “90Z,” a track rooted in cultural identity, authenticity and shared experiences.
“90Z is more than a sound. It’s where we come from, who we are, and how we translate our experiences into something meaningful through music,” shared Jay Flava, the young producer behind Gad Level Records.
Speaking on the collaboration, Jay Flava explained that Silk Boss was a natural fit for the record, bringing his distinctive style and energy to a production that carries a deeper cultural meaning.
“Silk Boss felt like the right artist for this record because of his ability to bring authenticity, energy, and character to the music. We wanted someone who could connect with the spirit of 90Z while bringing his own identity and perspective to the record,” he said.
“His delivery allows the message and energy of the song to come through in a way that feels natural. It was important for us to work with an artist who could contribute to the record creatively while respecting the culture and meaning behind it,” he added.
With the producers looking to build on their growing presence in the Dancehall scene, Gad Level Records and Meech Millz Records are open to collaborating with more Dancehall artistes visiting or based in the Brooklyn area, creating new opportunities to connect and develop fresh music.
