The fast-rising dancehall star Armanii delivers his debut full body of work, blending rich lyricism, surprise reggae moments, and smooth cuts that treat the ladies without losing edge

Armanii delivers a bold statement with debut album
Vocal range and sonic versatility define rising dancehall artiste Armanii’s debut full-length project, The Impact, which also marks his first release under UnitedMasters, arriving on Friday, December 13.
The album made an immediate statement, debuting at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart, underscoring the momentum behind his most ambitious body of work to date.
The opening track, “Champion,” released in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, sets the tone with crackling thunder, rainfall, and a powerful narrative that draws listeners into an immersive experience. That energy carries into “SIQ,” where Armanii steps outside his traditional reggae flow, opening with a stripped-back piano melody before shifting into a trap-driven beat that highlights a more militant edge to his delivery. Produced by Gego Don, a longtime collaborator of Alkaline, the track reinforces Armanii’s versatility and willingness to explore new sonic territory.
The ladies are well catered for on the project with the smooth dancehall-R&B piece “U A Gwaan,” a club-ready, party-friendly anthem. That energy continues on tracks like “Fuck Up,” “Balcony” featuring Jada Kingdom, and “Wine,” each adding a different edge and flavour to the album.
At the heart of the project is “Lose Your Love,” a standout track that highlights Armanii’s creativity and musical depth. The song is laid on classic one-drop reggae foundations, woven with subtle dancehall touches and anchored by rich horn arrangements, gritty guitar riffs, and the bright resonance of steel drums, paying homage to Jamaica’s musical roots while sounding refreshingly modern.
The album also includes several of Armanii’s previous releases, including “BBB (Snapchat)” and “8PM” featuring Malie Donn, the latter having surpassed 5 million Spotify streams.
As the project progresses, Armanii turns inward on “Dec 5,” a reflective, lyrically rich record where he addresses doubters and enemies, further showcasing the depth of his vocal range and storytelling ability.
The album closes with the title track “Impact,” a genre-blurring fusion of dancehall, hip hop, and R&B. Drawing from the textures of classic R&B and the cadence of old-school rap storytelling, the track reinforces Armanii’s intent to push the boundaries of modern dancehall.
The Impact features contributions from a diverse lineup of producers, composers, and songwriters, including Kulcha, Sartout Records, Dre Barnes, and Gego Don Records, giving the album a layered richness and sonic depth.
As Armanii continues to expand his global presence, this well-structured project stands as a defining statement in his evolving artistic journey.
