Reggae Boyz striker Michail Antonio has stepped into a new chapter, joining British pay TV broadcaster TNT Sports as a pundit.
The former West Ham United striker, recently released by the Hammers after a decade in which he scored 68 league goals for the club, made his on-screen debut on Sunday in the FA Community Shield clash between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Wembley.
In an Instagram post, he wrote, "It’s in my name, I’m meant to be on the mic. Can’t wait for the new season with TNT."
Antonio joined a refreshed studio lineup featuring Steve McManaman, Joel Ward, Fara Williams, and Joe Cole, as TNT kicked off a new four-year broadcast deal for the event. His swift move into punditry marks a seamless transition from pitch to studio, coming less than a year after he survived a serious car accident that left him with a leg fracture, though he has not officially announced his retirement.
The new Premier League season kicks off this Friday with reigning champions Liverpool hosting Bournemouth at Anfield.
