Roots reggae singer and songwriter Aza Lineage is set to release her debut album Rebel Daawta on June 19.

The 17-track project features collaborations with Johnny Osbourne, Jesse Royal, Brandon Rootz, and an opening introduction from veteran deejay Lone Ranger. Tracks such as “Rebels In Town,” “One Draw,” and “Sound System” highlight Aza’s fusion of militant roots reggae, spirituality, love, social commentary, and uplifting energy.

Produced by legendary producer King Jammy and released through VP Records, Rebel Daawta blends foundation reggae, sound system culture, conscious lyricism, and modern storytelling across its 17 tracks. Built around classic riddims pulled from King Jammy’s iconic vaults, the album introduces Aza Lineage as one of reggae’s promising new voices while remaining deeply grounded in authentic reggae traditions.

“Working with King Jammy really sharpened me as an artist,” said Aza Lineage. “This album represents growth, awareness, and staying true to myself and the foundation of reggae music.”

To celebrate the release of her debut project, Aza Lineage will bring the spirit of Rebel Daawta to the stage at Crown Hill Theatre in Brooklyn on Thursday, June 18. Joining her for the evening will be Boston-based roots reggae acts Mighty Mystic and MediSun, alongside Kulcha Kartel and Vaughn All Star of WKCR 89.9FM, for a showcase centered around conscious reggae music.

Doors open at 6PM, with showtime set for 7PM. Fans attending the event will also have the opportunity to purchase the very first copies of the Rebel Daawta vinyl LP.
