Jamaican faith-based film Redeemed: A Father’s Love has earned international recognition after winning Best Ensemble Cast at the 2026 Caribbean International Film & Fashion Festival (CARIFF) in Wilmington, Delaware.
Based on a true story, the Jamaican crime drama centres on the kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl, uncovering a web of family secrets while exploring themes of betrayal, faith, forgiveness and redemption.
Helmed by director Luc Stephen and executive producer Reverend Dr. Otis Manning, the film brings together American actor Malik Yoba and a cast of Jamaican and international performers, including Jacinth Headlam, Charmaine Fenton, Cornelius Grant, Julie Mango, Safaree Samuels, Justin Awn and Prince Saj.

“Winning Best Ensemble Cast at CARIFF 2026 is a tremendous honour. This recognition belongs to our entire cast and crew, whose talent, commitment and collaboration brought Redeemed: A Father’s Love to life,” Manning said.
Following a sold-out premiere in Kingston in August, Manning thanked the Jamaican media for supporting the project and expressed his commitment to bringing more Jamaican faith-based stories to international audiences.
The award comes as Caribbean cinema continues to gain exposure, with this year’s CARIFF showcasing 19 Jamaican films among more than 29 productions from across the region.
