Following the massive success of Trinibad artistes Kman and Medz Boss’ first-ever collaboration, “Bad Juveniles,” US-based producer and selector DJ Big Skipp is expanding the project into a full juggling titled Bad Juveniles Riddim, bringing together some of the leading names from Dancehall’s new generation and the Trinibad scene.
The original track continues to make waves across the Caribbean, amassing over 3 million YouTube views, 1 million Audiomack streams, 324,484 Spotify streams and 767,432 Apple Music streams. It has also dominated regional Apple Music charts, reaching the Top 5 across Caribbean markets and holding the No. 1 position in Trinidad and Tobago since its release. The song has climbed as high as No. 3 on the Apple Music Reggae chart, competing alongside Malie Donn’s “Van Cleef” and “Van Cleef Pt. 2” for the top three positions.
“The success of ‘Bad Juveniles’ showed me that fans want to hear new and fresh sounds, and that’s exactly what we aim to deliver,” DJ Big Skipp said.
Building on that momentum, DJ Big Skipp, whose given name is Keyonee Hill, has enlisted an impressive lineup for the Bad Juveniles Riddim, including Byron Messia with “Shooting Mood,” Trinibad artiste Plumpy Boss with “Gentle Reminder,” Intence with “Murder” and Malie Donn with “La La La.” Contributions from rising talents Tielo Lanez and Likkle Addi are also set for release.
The project already has several tracks in circulation, including Iwaata’s “Buss Dem Head,” alongside contributions from Antuwang and Squash, with more artistes potentially joining the lineup as the riddim continues to gain momentum.
