Pablo YG Tackles corruption and youth struggle
Rising dancehall artist Pablo YG drops his third single, “Fight and Lose,” from his forthcoming debut album Key to the Century, slated for release next year, a slight delay from the project’s originally planned launch.
Produced by his manager and longtime collaborator Tevin “YGF” Richards, the track sees Pablo YG tackling corruption, violence, and the unjust blame placed on young people for society’s issues, making it one of his most powerful statements yet, with themes that resonate beyond Jamaica.
“Fight and Lose” his the third release from Key to the Century, following “Celebration” featuring Jahvillani and “Maui Wowie.”
The St. Ann-native deejay has already surpassed 100 million YouTube views and performed on major stages including Reggae Sumfest. The upcoming project follows his breakout Bad Juvi mixtape, which topped charts across the Caribbean and earned him co-signs from major figures like streamer Kai Cenat.
In 2024, he also took home “Best Teen Entertainer” and “Most Promising Entertainer” awards at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
Released on October 17, via VP Records, “Fight and Lose” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
