Nigerian-Born Reggae Artiste Light Adey Unveils Debut Two-Part EP Nativity

Nigerian-born recording artiste Light Adey has released his debut two-part EP, Nativity, a contemporary roots reggae project rooted in Rastafari consciousness, spirituality, and meditation.

Split into two six-track sections, the EP delivers a total of 12 songs, showcasing his signature blend of roots reggae, dancehall, and Afro-reggae influences.

Light Adey's music fuses Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae, drawing inspiration from his Rastafarian beliefs and the rich tradition of reggae sound system culture. He began developing his musical foundation in Nigeria, where he honed his craft as a guitarist and keyboardist before later relocating to Italy to further pursue his career.

His recording journey began in 2021 with the release of AFROWIZARD, an Afrobeats-reggae fusion compilation that amassed thousands of streams across more than 10 major digital platforms, introducing audiences to his unique cross-cultural sound.

In 2022, Light Adey completed professional training in sound engineering and music production before moving to Italy later that year. His first major musical contribution after relocating came as a member of the roots reggae collective IZN ANBESSAS, culminating in the 2025 release of the collaborative single “Addis Ababa.”

Now, in 2026, Nativity marks Light Adey's first solo project since AFROWIZARD, capturing the artistic growth, knowledge, and experiences he has gained over the years. Every track reflects his evolution while staying true to his conscious reggae roots and Afro-inspired influences.
