Veteran reggae artiste Nesbeth is set to bring his full arsenal and inspirational energy to Encore Live, scheduled for August 30 at Plantation Cove in St Ann. Sharing the stage with Capleton and legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser, Nesbeth is promising a powerful set that will tap into the uplifting messages and street-rooted music that have defined his journey.

The Trench Town-born singer has been building his name since the early 2000s, gaining significant attention with 2008’s “Gunz Out” on the Rub-A-Dub Riddim. His career reached another level during 2015 and 2016 with the inspirational hit “My Dream,” which became a fixture at parties and events across Jamaica, before he continued that motivational path with records such as “Success Story.”

“My Dream” remains one of the defining records of Nesbeth’s career, amassing more than 25 million views on YouTube across its major uploads. Approximately 18 million of those views have come through Reggaeville, while the official visuals and audio on his own channel have accumulated nearly seven million combined.

“Reaching over 25 million views with ‘My Dream’ is a powerful reminder that music with a genuine message has no expiration date,” Nesbeth shared. “When I recorded this song, I wanted to inspire people to believe in themselves, stay focused, and never give up on what they’re working towards. Years later, seeing millions of people still connecting with that message is humbling.”

The song’s impact has also travelled beyond Jamaica, earning recognition from Rolling Stone as part of the publication’s coverage surrounding Jamaica’s 60th anniversary of Independence. More than a decade after its release, its message of perseverance continues to resonate, something Nesbeth intends to carry with him when he takes the stage at Encore Live.

“As I prepare for the Encore show, I’m stepping onto that stage with gratitude, knowing that ‘My Dream’ is no longer just my story, it belongs to everyone who has ever had a dream and refused to give up on it,” he added.
