Capleton promises ‘Frenzy Situation’ at ENCORE LIVE

Reggae legend Capleton set to headline ENCORE LIVE: Culture Rising on Sunday, August 30, at Plantation Cove in St. Ann.

Presented by Midas Entertainment and 8 Rivaz Ultra Lounge, the day-to-evening reggae experience runs from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will also feature Nesbeth, Grammy-certified saxophonist Dean Fraser, Bass Odyssey and DJ Delano of Renaissance.

“Capleton is more than an artiste. He is a cultural icon whose energy, catalogue and influence have helped shape reggae for generations,” said Stefan Ebanks, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Midas Entertainment. “We are proud to bring an experience of this calibre to Jamaica’s north coast. Patrons can expect exceptional production, strong performances and the kind of atmosphere that only a Capleton concert can deliver.”

Capleton is promising nothing less than his trademark intensity. “This is an experience you cannot afford to miss. Bring the family, bring your friends and bring the energy. Come ready for the message, the music, the vibration and the fire,” he said. “When the Fireman touches that stage, it’s going to be a frenzy situation. I’m coming to ignite the place, raise the energy and leave you with an experience you’ll never forget. Fire caan cool! Heights of Fire!”

Alongside the live performances, Bass Odyssey adds a strong sound system component to Culture Rising. The St. Ann-based sound, with decades of history in dubplate culture and dancehall, will bring another dimension of Jamaica’s musical tradition to the event.

The lineup also features iconic saxophonist Dean Fraser, one of Jamaica’s most prolific and respected musicians, alongside reggae veteran Nesbeth, known for his conscious and uplifting catalogue.

“When the Fireman touches that stage, it’s going to be a frenzy situation. I’m coming to ignite the place, raise the energy and leave you with an experience you’ll never forget. Fire caan cool! Heights of Fire!”

Culture Rising arrives during an active new chapter for Capleton, who released Heights Of Fire on June 26 through Evidence Music, his first full-length album in 16 years

The event serves as the culminating summer staging of the ENCORE LIVE SERIES, a reggae-inspired platform combining live music, sound system culture, hospitality and destination entertainment on Jamaica’s north coast.

It will also close Midas Entertainment’s summer finale weekend at Plantation Cove. On Saturday, August 29, Sophisticated: The Summer End Beach Party will feature Vanessa Bling, Trippple X, Bishop Escobar and Illusion Sound, before Culture Rising takes over on Sunday.
