Lil Kerry lifts Road March title in Grenada
Grenadian Jab soca artiste Keron “Lil Kerry” Noel has spent more than a decade steadily making his mark across the Caribbean, but his latest Spicemas season has brought some of his biggest success yet.
Fresh off winning Grenada’s Road March title for the second consecutive year and placing third in the Power Soca Monarch competition, Lil Kerry is reaping the rewards of a successful season with his track “Mayhem,” which emerged as one of the viral songs of this year’s carnival.
Lil Kerry delivered an explosive performance of “Mayhem” at this year’s Power Soca Monarch, one of the marquee events of Spicemas. His infectious Jab energy, commanding stage presence and strong connection to Grenada’s carnival culture earned him third place in the highly competitive category. While the judges placed him third, fans pushed the song to another level, with “Mayhem” climbing to No. 1 on the iTunes Grenada Top Songs chart by the following morning.
“Winning Road March for the second year in a row is a special feeling. Last year was a major moment for me, but coming back and doing it again shows that the music continues to connect with the people. I’m grateful to everyone who played the song, supported me throughout the season and represented it on the road,” he told Kaboom Magazine. “As an artiste, there’s no greater feeling than hearing thousands of people singing your music and seeing it become part of their carnival experience. I don’t take any of it for granted.”
Lil Kerry’s musical journey began in 2004 with experiments in rap, but soca soon caught his vibe, driven by Grenada’s vibrant carnival energy and the raw expression of Jab culture, eventually becoming his true calling.
Since then, he has evolved from early releases such as “Banana Truck” into a recognised voice within Spicemas, delivering standout tracks including “Dynamite” and “Go No Way.” His momentum grew further in 2025 when “Bury All” placed third in the Power Soca Monarch competition before going on to capture the Road March title.
“This season reminded me why I love what I do, and it has motivated me to keep pushing Grenadian soca even further.”
That success carried into 2026, with Lil Kerry describing the latest Spicemas season as another important chapter in his journey. “Spicemas 2026 was an incredible season for me. From the release of the music to the performances, Soca Monarch and ultimately winning Road March again, I gave everything I had this year. There were challenges, long nights and a lot of work behind the scenes, but seeing how the people responded made it all worthwhile,” he shared.
“I’m thankful to my team, my producers, my supporters and everyone who contributed to the journey. This season reminded me why I love what I do, and it has motivated me to keep pushing Grenadian soca even further,” he echoed.
