Konshens invites the world to a "Pool Party" with new album
Internationally acclaimed dancehall star Konshens is set to release his highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Pool Party,” on June 27, 2025.
The 15-track project delivers a vibrant, celebratory energy while staying rooted in the dancehall sound that made Konshens a global name. “Pool Party” will be released via his own label Submachine Entertainment in collaboration with FTS Global Management and ADA Worldwide.
The album opens with “Our Father,” a raw and reflective track where Konshens lays bare his personal journey: “Inna my life me feel like me dead whole heap a time and me born again whole heap a time,” Says the seasoned sigjay, framing this album not just as music, but as testimony. From the outset, the album presents itself not just as music, but as a testimony of growth, renewal, and joy.
“In this super serious climate and state the world is in, I didn’t want to do an album to reflect that,” Konshens explains. “I found that whenever I dwell on issues, they stay with me, but whenever I took a light-hearted approach, I got through things quicker and healthier… So in the midst of all this madness, let’s have a Pool Party!”
Leading the project is the fiery new single “Back Day Azz Up (BDAUP),” a genre-blending anthem fusing dancehall and hip hop. The album also features standout collaborations including “Bend” with Skillibeng, “Gyal Time Again” featuring Charly Black, “Wet and Wild” with Dyani, “Rich Sex” with R&B singer Eric Bellinger and dancehall diva Moyann, and “Battlezone” featuring American rapper The Game.
Infused with global sounds, hip-hop swagger, Afrobeat vibes, and club-ready energy, Pool Party is more than just a summer soundtrack, it’s a bold celebration of life.
