Jamaica Wins 4x100m with 37.80s in London; Seville Edges Lyles in 100m Showdown

The Jamaican men’s 4x100m relay team clocked a season-best 37.80 seconds at London’s Olympic Stadium on Saturday to win the London Diamond League and boost their chances of qualifying for the World Championships in Tokyo this September.


The quartet including Rohan Watson, Oblique Seville, Kadrian Goldson, and Kishane Thompson, finished ahead of Great Britain (38.08s) and the Netherlands (38.17s). J


Jamaica’s time now ranks as the third-fastest in the world this year, trailing only South Africa and the USA. The result elevated them to 15th in the World Championships rankings, pushing the Netherlands to 16th and knocking Nigeria out of qualifying position.



Oblique Seville caps off a successful day by stunning Olympic champion Noah Lyles with a 9.86s victory in the men’s 100m at the London Diamond League. Lyles takes second in 10.00s, while Zharnel Hughes of Great Britain 🇬🇧 finishes third in 10.02s. Olympic 200m gold medalist Letsile Tebogo places just seventh with 10.12s.
