The dancehall star breaks his silence on the latest incident, writing on his Instagram Story, “This situation is affecting my freedom, my life, and the career I have worked hard to build.”

Chronic Law speaks out for the first time since being detained

Dancehall star Chronic Law has addressed his recent detention after reportedly being arrested once again, this time over an alleged warrant in Georgia.

“I want to address this once and only once. What is happening to me is not new. It is part of a long, ongoing situation, and I believe I am being repeatedly targeted and harassed by the same officer connected to my arrest back in January,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

“After spending months in ICE custody and finally being released, I was arrested again following my performance at Rise N Toast on July 5 over an alleged warrant in Georgia. I had been in Atlanta just the day before, performing without any issues.

“At this point, this situation is affecting my freedom, my life, and the career I have worked hard to build. I am asking the media and the public to pay attention to what is happening. I am prepared to face any legitimate legal matter through the proper legal process, but I am asking for the continued targeting and harassment to stop.

“On The Spot, my View, and the rest of unnu, before unnu put out wrong and misleading information about me, do unnu research. Stop trying to tear me down and damage my reputation just for views and attention. Unnu a play wid people life and career without knowing the full story,” the St. Thomas Native deejay concluded.

According to a booking record from the Broward County Jail, the deejay, whose given name is Ackeme Campbell, was taken into custody on July 5 and is currently being held for the U.S. Marshals Service on an allegation of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Chronic Law remains in custody and is scheduled to make his next court appearance on Thursday.
