With summer in full swing, Billboard’s monthly Reggae/Dancehall Fresh Picks continues its tradition of spotlighting standout tracks in the genre.

For May, Billboard editors highlighted several key releases. Dancehall veteran Ding Dong earned a spot with the remix of his classic anthem “Badman Forward Badman Pull Up,” now reimagined as “Di New Pull Up” featuring Skillibeng — a high-energy collaboration bridging two generations of dancehall.

Reggae star Koffee marked her return after a three-year hiatus with “Koffee,” delivering sharp rhymes over a bouncy GuiltyBeatz production. Billboard praised her for offering “a healthy serving of her much-missed wordplay… while still honoring the age-old tradition of popping your s–t.”

Also featured was Bayka, who teamed up with dancehall queen Spice for a fiery remix of his hit “Miss Pretty,” featured on DJ Mac’s Down Riddim. Spice’s slick delivery and unmistakable energy added extra fire to the track.

Konshens also made the list with his track “Back Dat Azz Up,” a dancehall take inspired by Juvenile’s classic. The song proves the original’s influence can seamlessly translate across genres.

With summer approaching, we have a feeling Billboard will be highlighting even more bangers in the months ahead.
