Dancehall powerhouse Ding Dong has officially announced his highly anticipated debut album, "From Ding Dong to World Ding", set for release on May 2. After over 20 years in the business, as the deejay is finally set to drop his full-length project.
The leading track, “Jump Steet”, sets the tone for the album — a high-energy refix of the classic Kris Kross anthem. Premiered on March 26, it features a fiery collaboration with dancehall new-gen star Skeng and rising talent Kaka Highflames, blending cross-generational flair into a pulsating, dancefloor-ready anthem.
Since its release on March 26th, distributed by ONErpm, ‘Street Jump’ has garnered considerable praise from fans and critics alike. Fans have expressed their enthusiasm with reviews like, “Ding always brings happy, fun music” and “This is what you call 3 the hard way. Best collaboration from the year start. The 44-year-old deejay, who began his career in the early 2000s, rose to prominence with hits like “Bad Man Forward / Bad Man Pull Up” (2005), “Fling”, and “Genna Bounce”—the latter two released in 2017, further fueling his global appeal. He is also the founder of the iconic dance crew Ravers Clavers, a collective that has played a pivotal role in shaping dancehall culture.
