Devon Biscuits increases iInvestment in Youth Athletics with $21M Sponsorship

Devon Biscuits reaffirms its commitment to the development of the youth, by accelerating its sponsorship as the official snack partner for the 2025 staging of the INSPORTS/Devon Biscuits Primary School All-Island Athletics Championship.

The event kicks off on Monday May 5 with the staging of the Central champs at the GC Foster College in Spanish Town which runs until May 7. This is Devon Biscuits’ third year as title-sponsor.

“Our partnership with INSPORTS has worked wonders for the brand as we seek to partner with events that will assist with nation building while assisting those students who are not only representing their schools but also their communities,” Sherene Bryan, brand manager Devon Biscuits disclosed.

The brand will activate its executions at all of the lead-up regional events such as Central, Western and Eastern championships and at the National Finals.

Devon Biscuits will offer gift bags with tokens to participants and provide cash prizes to the regional and national winners.

“There were several stand out moments throughout the championships last year and a number of the athletes did themselves and their schools proud by breaking records and displaying great sportsmanship on and off the track. I think that the performances of the athletes last year took the event to another level and this year, we want to be there for the athletes in a more meaningful way,” said Bryan.

The Western Championships are scheduled from May 8-10 at St Elizabeth Technical High, while Eastern championships will take place from May 14-16 at Stadium East. The National Finals are set for May 29-31 at the National Stadium.

Devon Biscuits has invested more than $20 million in sponsorship for the event. “We’re investing in the development of the youth in Jamaica in sports, helping to fulfill dreams and hopes for future athletes to represent Jamaica,” said Bryan.

The winning school at each regional championship will receive $350,000, while at the national finals, the school that emerges the winner, gets $600,000 courtesy of Devon Biscuits.
