Jamaican dancehall producer Countree Hype continues to show his unmatched ability to discover and elevate young talent. Known for identifying rising stars before they break, he’s once again proven his knack, this time with two fresh voices from the Caribbean and Africa.

“I have people all around, fanbase who know to recognize talents,” he told Kaboom Magazine. “TikTok has a huge influence on the youths, who are the future or even current consumers of this music.”

One of those rising stars is Grenadian artist Samdan, whose breakout single “Blaze Up” is catching fire across the region. The track first gained traction on TikTok, where it has sparked over 339,000 video creations and amassed more than 199 million views.

“Blaze Up” quickly climbed to #1 on Apple Music’s Top 100 in Trinidad & Tobago, #2 in Grenada, and also charted in St. Kitts, Barbados, Belize, and beyond. It even broke into Jamaica’s YouTube trending chart at #27 and has become a party favorite in both Grenada and Jamaica, blending digital buzz with street-level popularity.

Meanwhile, Countree Hype’s Fast & Furious riddim continues to build global momentum with Kenyan talent Toxic Lyrikali. His single “Backbencher” has soared to #1 on Kenya’s Apple Music Top 100 chart, making waves both locally and internationally, including in unexpected regions like Qatar. The track is also gaining massive traction on TikTok, with over 200,000 video creations and an impressive 221 million views on the platform, cementing its viral impact across continents.

With a sharp ear for global talent and growing influence across borders, Countree Hype is no longer stopping at Jamaica; he’s pushing the sound far beyond the island, making waves across the Caribbean, Africa, and the entire globe.
