CB Chicken Partners With NBTS for World Blood Donor Day Blood Drive

Company supports blood donors, healthcare workers, and volunteers by serving PAN Chicken meals while helping raise awareness of Jamaica's ongoing need for voluntary blood donations

CB Chicken recently joined Jamaicans at Emancipation Park in support of the National Blood Transfusion Service's (NBTS) World Blood Donor Day Blood Drive, recognizing blood donors, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and support teams helping to save lives every day.

A single blood donation can save up to three lives, making blood donors everyday heroes. Through its support of the initiative, CB Chicken helped raise awareness about the ongoing need for voluntary blood donation while showing appreciation to those who stepped forward to give.

Samantha Fisher, Assistant Brand Manager for CB Foods, said the partnership reflected the company's commitment to giving back. "One of the most meaningful ways we can make a difference is by helping others, and blood donation is a powerful example of that. As part of CB Group, we're always looking for opportunities to support initiatives that positively impact Jamaican communities, so partnering with the National Blood Transfusion Service for World Blood Donor Day was a natural fit for us."

As part of the initiative, CB Chicken provided PAN Chicken meals to blood donors, prospective donors, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and support staff throughout the day, echoing the connection between good nutrition, health, and community care.

Fisher further noted that the company's support was about more than simply providing meals. "We wanted to show up in a way that felt true to CB Foods. National Blood Transfusion Service Blood Donor Organizer Igol Allen stressed the importance of continued public support. "Every day, patients across Jamaica depend on blood donors they may never meet. That's why maintaining a safe and reliable blood supply is so important, and why we continue to encourage voluntary blood donation. Events like World Blood Donor Day help shine a spotlight on the incredible impact donors have on the lives of others."
