“Every Song Carries a Piece of My Journey”
Beloved early 2000s singer Da’Ville officially returns to the spotlight with the release of his fifth studio album, Breathe. This project marks a pivotal moment in his career—not only for its vibrant sound and heartfelt storytelling, but also because it’s self-produced under his own imprint, Global Merchant Music Group.
The lead single, “Sunshine Days,” sets the tone with a soulful, sweet delivery that instantly reminds fans of Da’Ville’s vocal brilliance. It also marks his return after a 13-year hiatus, signaling a new chapter of artistic freedom and personal growth.
In addition to Da’Ville’s masterful production, Breathe includes contributions from J-Vibe Production, The Drawing Board Production, and Cymba Production. The result is a rich sonic blend that fuses roots reggae, lovers rock, and contemporary Caribbean influences.
“After years of silence between projects, this body of work is my exhale—my reminder that life, love, and healing are worth slowing down for. Every song carries a piece of my journey: the highs, the heartbreaks, the rediscovery of self. I created this album to reconnect—not just with my audience, but with the pure joy of making music from the soul. After so long away, Breathe means freedom, peace, and the courage to step back into the light,” Da’Ville shared in an official statement.

Wendy Morgan of Beautiful People Management, who is guiding Da’Ville’s comeback, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to be on board with the release and management of this project. We believe in Da’Ville’s talent wholeheartedly, and we know this album will resonate deeply with his fans while introducing his music to new audiences worldwide.”
The album is distributed by Amp Music Company, while creative branding was handled by BlingBlang Work, whose visuals capture the album’s energy and essence. “I’m ready to show fans what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. I don’t take on projects I’m not passionate about, so this is exciting. I can’t wait to see how fans receive it,” BlingBlang said.
Known for timeless hits like “Always On My Mind,” “In Heaven,” and “Can’t Get Over You,” Da’Ville is now back in full force, already making promotional rounds in New York.
Breathe follows his previous studio albums In Heaven (2005), Can’t Get Over You (2006), Always On My Mind (2007), and Krazy Love (2012), each of which helped solidify his standing in the reggae landscape.
