Popular Jamaican selector and MC Marlon "Boom Boom" Wizzard is about to take his long-standing partnership with Boom Energy Drink to the next level, as he’s set to become an international brand ambassador for the Jamaican brand.


The move comes as the energy drink brand prepares to expand into the United Kingdom, marking a major step for both Boom Boom and Boom Energy Drink on the global stage.


“It’s a different level for me. Dis one yah bigger - it ago international. But me buss the brand local, and now they believe in me,” shared Boom Boom in an exclusive conversation with Kaboom Magazine.

A Grants Pen native, Boom Boom is best known for hosting some of Kingston’s most iconic weekly street parties, including his flagship Boom Sundays, named after both himself and the brand sponsor. Held every Sunday on the main street of his community, the event has become a staple of Jamaican nightlife. His other signature events are Uptown Mondays and Boasy Tuesdays, have also cemented his reputation as one of the island’s top selectors and party hosts.


Known to many as “World Boom,” he has long been a driving force in Jamaica’s street dance culture, helping to buss countless artists over the years. His events attract both locals and tourists eager to experience authentic Jamaican street life, while his dynamic hosting style continues to make him one of the most in-demand MCs on the island - including his regular role as host at Reggae Sumfest each year.


“Memba, mi buss artists on a regular basis - a part of mi mission dat,” he noted. “So now mi feel like mi haffi take care of Boom pon di international level.”

Boom Energy Drink’s entry into the UK represents a strategic move to bring the brand’s signature “boom of energy” to new consumers while strengthening Jamaica’s cultural presence abroad. The brand aims to connect with the Caribbean diaspora and a new generation of global energy drink lovers seeking authenticity, flavour, and vibes.

The re-signing was followed by a community party in Grants Pen, celebrating the brand’s ongoing commitment to uplifting local culture while creating new opportunities for engagement across Jamaica and beyond.
