Legendary singer Beres Hammond underscores his lasting impact


Jamaican lovers rock icon Beres Hammond continues to add to his legacy, as his compilation album Can't Stop a Man: The Ultimate Collection has been certified Silver in the United Kingdom by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).


The certification, issued on April 3, confirms that the project has surpassed 60,000 album-equivalent units in the UK, combining physical sales, downloads, and streaming activity.



The 39-track compilation, originally released in 2003, features some of Hammond’s most beloved hits, including “What One Dance Can Do,” “Groovy Little Thing,” “No Disturb Sign,” and “Doctor’s Orders,” among others. The project was distributed by VP Records and remains a staple within lovers rock and reggae collections.


The milestone arrives at a fitting time, as the legendary singer is set to make his highly anticipated return to the UK after eight years, where he will headline City Splash Festival on May 25 at Brockwell Park, London.



The “Rock Away” singer is expected to deliver an exclusive performance in Brixton, marking his first-ever festival headline appearance in the UK-rther reflecting his enduring demand and influence across the region.
