Fresh off his impressive, self-led sold-out New Rules Festival at Trelawny Stadium, dancehall powerhouse Alkaline returns with a brand-new single, “Priority.” Produced by the acclaimed ArmzHouse Records, the track underscores Alkaline’s boundary-pushing artistry and the production excellence that has cemented ArmzHouse as a staple in the Jamaican music scene.
The single embodies Alkaline’s introspective lyricism, infectious rhythms, and melodic richness that continue to set him apart. In “Priority,” he shifts the focus to women, crafting a narrative that highlights the modern woman’s confidence, sensuality, and control of her own agency in a male-dominated world, all layered over a captivating, beat-driven backdrop.

ArmzHouse’s reputation as a leading force in the Jamaican music landscape has been well established for years, and it's once again on full display in “Priority.”
Maurice Linton of ArmzHouse Records shares, “The goal was to fuse the best of Dancehall’s past and present. With ‘Priority,’ we’ve crafted a song that captures the energy of today while respecting the foundation of the genre.”
ArmzHouse’s catalog boasts viral riddims from earlier eras like “First Capital,” led by standout tracks such as Mavado’s “At The Top” and I-Octane’s “Buss A Blank.” Their 2017 project “Forever” also hit hard with impressive tracks like Mavado’s “Forever” and Alkaline’s “Pretty Girls Team.” With their latest release, “Priority,” ArmzHouse signals their intent to remain at the top—on their own terms.
In the meantime, Alkaline is set to hit the stage on Saturday, August 30 at the Barclays Center as part of the Reggae Fest Massive Weekend during New York’s Labor Day celebrations. He’ll perform alongside a star-studded lineup including Shenseea, Elephant Man, Capleton, Mr. Vegas, and more.
