Exclusive: Under the wings of dancehall star Valiant, up-and-coming talent Saddious embarks on his own music journey: "This is my chance, I won't give up"
Saddious, embracing the assistance and following his heart
Sometimes, all you need to make your dream come true is for someone to believe in you. As Valiant strengthens his status as a dancehall star, both locally and internationally, he is also dedicated to pushing young artists forward.
After introducing Rain, another promising talent signed to the 'Gwan Suh' singjay's fledgling label is Saddious. The rising youngster hailing from Red Hills, St Andrew, and also Manchester Parish.
"I've been doing music and singing since I was young, but I never really liked the front, Iused to play instrumentals and being in studio", said Saddious. "I was always involved in music, never knowing I wanted to become an artist, but Valiant's push gave me the motivation I needed. I followed my heart and stopped fighting it."
"It's a life-changing experience for me. It's fun, it's tiring, it's frustrating to sing the songs the right way, but one thing's for sure - I won't give up".
Valiant recognized Saddious's talent and took on the role of mentor, guiding and exposing him to the music industry. "I'm grateful for the exposure and assistance," Saddious shared. "Valiant has a natural musical incline and music knowledge, which makes things easier for me, from writing to flow and tone. Since he burst onto the scene, there's been no turning back. People can't fight it or ignore it. Despite his growing fame, he still finds time to nurture young talents and give them a chance," he resonated.
"This is my chance, and I'll take it. I work hard daily. He was the one who took me on stage when people didn't even know my songs because he believed in me. I have to be grateful," Saddious continued.

Saddious's upcoming single, "Up Yuhself," is produced by Valiant's label, Raheem Wid The Book, and DJ Bigiinton. "I also have tracks with Valiant and Rain, and with Valiant himself. I go everywhere he goes, even if it's just for a two-minute chance," he shared. "A lot of music is coming out. I'm putting in a lot of work."
With the importance of mentorship and belief in their talents, Valiant is aiming to set an impactful music journey. With his guidance, these rising stars are poised to make their mark on the dancehall scene.
